Our Journey
never stop trying
Every story has a beginning and I began by doodling my teachers and friends on the back pages of the school notebooks, a bona fide back-bencher!
Landed up in College of Art, Delhi and also amassed a Mass Communication Diploma that nudged me towards television production and direction.
Went on to creating some interesting, dramatic and fun on-air promos for Star TV, IBN7, India TV, etc.
Then ventured towards publishing, designing wonderful non fiction books for Dorling Kindersley.
Was blessed to have had the most incredible mentors and colleagues at every level to fuel my hunger.
But the free wheelie spirit in me was itching to experiment with things that were left undone.
So back to doodling…
I am in my own thought bubble, a designer by profession and an artist from the heart. Manana Bonkey is a topsy turvy moniker for my maiden name. Motherhood turned my world upside down and I like it down here, inspiring me to return to what I like doing best.
